Editing a book about creating VPNs on Linux with IPsec. 200-300 pages long, which works out at about £450.

Five chapters now complete. I hardly did any during the week, finishing four yesterday, and today completing five. I have still to send the edits back to the author for his feedback and to make a couple of changes. I should really do that this weekend.

The chapters are in much better state than Louay had indicated. The English is not all that bad, generally pretty good with a few errors, such as 'then' instead of 'than', nothing serious.

Chapter 7 finished now. 5 left to do, if they're as straight-forward as that it would be nice.

Chapter 8 ready to be edited - in correct template and a few standard things have been done, like correcting therefor and heading capitalisations.

The chapter is 33 pages long, wish it was shorter :\

Subject is interop, with Windows and OS X. Not the most exciting of stuff, let's see though could be some interesting facts in there.

Now just about halfway through chapter 9, which looks at a few hardware issues - interop with different routers etc.

The worst part is that in some places, he's used Key Word style instead of Screen Text, and changing it isn't as easy as it should be. Making reasonable headway through it though, will aim to finish it off later tonight.

After that, there will be just chapters 10, 11 and 12 to do, and an appendix I think. I should be able to get through that over the weekend, if I force myself! Then, there are the other tasks, such as inserting images and getting the author's responses to my comments and making any changes as a result. So realistically, I won't be done with it before Wednesday.
